Want to create accessible film screenings?
Want to create film screenings that are accessible for you and your audience?
Love films and want to get screening but need some financial support and guidance?
Cinema For All’s free coaching programme, Launch is here to help you start your very own cinema!
This coaching programme is for anyone that wants to start their very own community cinema but five places are specifically reserved for applicants that identify access needs or want to focus their cinema on accessible screenings.
These can be screenings for any form of accessibility (e.g. screenings for people who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing, people who are neurodiverse, dementia friendly screenings or people with physical access needs) to help create more inclusive cinema screenings and truly make cinema for all.
We’ve seen many fantastic groups create amazing screenings with accessibility at its heart such as Caption This Cinema in Aberdeen, Spectrum Cinema East Dunbartonshire and The Cinematic Communion at Mill Hill Chapel.
We’d love to see what screenings you could create! To find out more about Launch and to apply visit our website here.
When asked what they liked about the coaching programme, a previous Launch participant said:
It planted lots of seeds of ideas. I came into it looking to feel confident about the basics and actually got so much more, through feeling encouraged by how much more was possible. I thought the programme would give me the foundations of a community cinema, which it did. What I didn't realise was that the programme would also create a party of ideas in my brain to carry forward
