Applications for Launch now closed.
Would you love to start your very own community cinema? Apply to Launch, Cinema For All’s coaching programme to help you get your community cinema started with confidence!
As part of Launch, you will receive:
- A welcome session – where you will meet your Cinema For All coach and discuss your goals for your cinema (up to 30 mins).
- 1 x starting up workshop – this helps you know all the important information to screen films, as well as chance to start forming your ideas for your cinema and ask any questions (90 mins).
- 1 x workshop in a topic of your choice (venue and equipment, special events, film programming or fundraising) (90 mins).
- 1 x group Launch cohort marketing workshop – this will be an opportunity to meet your fellow Launch cohort and share your experience as well as learn tips and tools for marketing your brand new cinema and screenings. This will take place towards the end of April and there will be two dates to choose from (90 mins).
- 1 x reflection session – reflect with your coach at the end of the coaching programme to reflect on your goals and how far you’ve come (up to 30 mins).
- A £300 bursary to put on your first screening which will take place by end of June 2024.
- Free equipment hire from the Cinema For All equipment scheme for your first screening (Cinema For All members only and for equipment bookings made by 25th May 2024).
Bring your love of film and connection to your local communities together and start something special this spring!
As the coaching takes place online, you and any of your team can all attend together and sessions can be spaced out over three months of March – May 2024. Each workshop comes with a PowerPoint that you will work through with your coach and you will receive a copy of this so you can return to it at your convenience, along with useful resources. Whatever starting point you’re coming from, your coach is here to support you each step of the way!
