The Great Watch Together

Cinema For All is excited to be partnering with the Jo Cox Foundation for The Great Watch Together as part of their Great Get Together campaign. ‘Movies are,’ Roger Ebert said, ‘like a machine that generates empathy’. The Great Get Together is all about empathy; it’s about connecting with others who are different to ourselves and celebrating that we have, in Jo Cox’s words, More in Common than that which divides us. There are many ways to be involved with the Great Watch Together; we aren’t prescriptive about the event so, provided it’s positive and brings people together, anything can be part of the campaign! You could host film screenings in your community or discussion, celebrate your volunteers or community, reach out to a new group or part of the community – feel free to be as imaginative as you like! Cinema For All and the Jo Cox Foundation will provide materials to help support and market your events as well as providing support on our social media channels.
