Notes From The Nhs Frontline Round Up

Date: 30 June 2023Category: Events
Notes from the NHS Frontline was a collaboration between Cinema For All and the NHS Wellbeing Hub of three films exploring key workers and their responses to the pandemic. The 5 screenings took place across June in the North East and Cumbria at The Gather in Ennerdale, Films at Shadforth in Durham, the Star and Shadow in Newcastle and the Seahouses Hub in Seahouses.
Everyone who came really enjoyed it and found it thoughtful. It did feel  like a celebration of NHS and caring staff, and it was quite poignant thinking". "Very moved".
"Everyone enjoyed it and got something out of it".
The screenings were made of three films; Playback Theatre, which saw key workers acting out scenarios from the pandemic, Notes from the Frontline, a musical tribute to key workers featuring NHS staff members, and Care Home, a short documentary speaking to nursing home staff about their experiences.

This was a really special project that highlighted and celebrated the amazing work done by key workers during the pandemic. A huge thanks to all of our partnering community cinemas, who put on such inspiring and thoughtful screenings that provided audiences the chance to reflect, connect and share their own experiences. And, of course, a huge thanks to everyone who came along to one of the screenings and made them such a success.
