One of my most memorable experiences visiting a community cinema was at Selby Globe Community Cinema for the Tour de Cinema one day film festival. It was in June and it was chucking it down, so spending the afternoon in a lovely cinema space to laugh at Jour de Fête and to cry at Bicycle Thieves - complete with a cuppa and homemade cakes - was an utter delight.
Abi joined the Cinema For All team in October 2015 as Marketing and Events Coordinator after volunteering in the office and at our events for just over a year. She is now Sector Development Officer, focusing on our training and coaching programmes. She has previously worked for the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield as Audience Development Assistant, and ran Minicine, winner of the Film Society of the Year award 2015.
