We are very delighted to announce the expansion of the Cinema For All team. This month we have welcomed three new staff members:
Rosie Thompson will take over as Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Abi Standish, who previously held this role, now has a new position at Cinema For All looking after our coaching programmes and Booking Scheme acquisitions. Rosie was previously at the Showroom Cinema and BFI Film Academy and we are very excited to have her marketing skills and talents.
Ellie Ragdale will continue our community outreach programmes (especially focusing on South Yorkshire, Cornwall/ Devon and Leicestershire). Our community outreach work this year is partly supported by the BFI, as well as the BBFC and a donation from Octagon Films. Ellie is a familiar face to community cinemas, having run Handmade Cinema/ Girl Gang here in Sheffield and winning big at the Film Society of the Awards. We think she’s the perfect fit for this exciting role.
Finally Oriana Francheschi joins us until the end of the year to oversee our Vote100 project, supported by the Women’s Centenary Fund. The project will kickstart a series of celebratory screenings and events across the North of England, develop resources for our members, and put together an archive film celebrating women in public life since 1918. Oriana was previously at Tyneside Cinema and An Lanntair on the Isle of Lewis. She is brimming with innovative ideas and we can’t wait to get started on this exciting project.
You’ll get a chance to meet everyone at the conference in September, but in the meantime do drop them an email if you’d like to chat.
