We are so excited to announce the programme for the Student and Young Volunteer Cinema Programmers Day on 23 February!
Join us and University of Westminster Film Society for a day of workshops, networking, exciting film screenings, and talks about volunteer film programming and running a student cinema. The day is aimed at students and 18-30 year olds running their own community cinemas, but is open to all ages.
Highlights include discussions from a panel of student cinema/young organisers, a workshop on programming to change the world and introducing audiences to films that may change their worldview, and film screenings of Vote 100: Born a Rebel, Border and another exciting preview (TBC).
Tickets cost just £20 (including a light lunch and refreshments).

STUDENT CINEMA DAY 2018

Cinema For All and Film Unit are excited to welcome you to the 2018 Student Cinema Day, which takes place at the University of Sheffield Students’ Union on 17 February. The event will feature exciting new cinema releases, engaging panels and workshops plus plenty of networking opportunities.
The Student Cinema Day is open to all student cinema organisers, as well as anybody identifying as a young community cinema organiser, whether in higher education or not.
Meet industry professionals and film fans from across the country, share top tips and inspiration, preview some new release films and discover how you can start a career in film exhibition/ distribution.
A full event programme will be available closer to the time.
Tickets are just £12.50 (early bird rate – prices go up to £15.50 on 8 January) including lunch and all refreshments. Please let us know in advance of any access or dietary requirements. Book your tickets here.
SUPPORT TO HELP YOU ATTEND
Cinema For All is offering a small number of travel and accommodation bursaries to attendees travelling from further than 100 miles from Sheffield (up to £100pp). Please contact Jaq Chell by 8 January to apply stating why you are interested in attending the event, where you are located and if you are involved in/ interested in running a student cinema.
Alternatively, if your Student Cinema is a member of your local BFI Film Hub you can enquire with them about applying for a bursary to help with costs to attend the event. You can find out which Film Hub covers your region here.
