Meet our Community Cinema Conference volunteers!
Our amazing volunteers are the soul of our annual conference, and we couldn't host the event without their invaluable support! So with that, we're pleased to introduce you to this year's amazing volunteers:
Jenny Sutton
I ran Magic Lantern Film Club in Sheffield for ten years with two other women putting on all kinds of films in all kinds of spaces all over the city-please say hello and share all your stories at the Conference. Can't wait!
Beth Greenhough
I'm very excited to take part in the Community Cinema Conference 2024 in my hometown of Sheffield. I'm a film lover, so I can't wait to meet all the groups doing amazing work to help bring cinema to all corners of the country. Please do come and say hi!
Dean-Alastair Platt
I'm a filmmaker and photographer based in the North-West, with a passion for cinema. I loves working events and performances and I've been working with Ephemeral Film North to help them in their mission to show "the best films you've never seen", starting in my hometown of Liverpool, and work under the brand of PlattypusKing Productions.
Josh Allott
Hi I'm Josh, a 24 year old cinephile with a fascination for culture and longtime suffering Sheffield Wednesday supporter.
Meg Hartman
I'm Meg and I'm a primary school teacher currently living in Derbyshire. Before giving myself over to the world of education, I ran my own community cinema project, TV Dinners, in Sheffield as well as being deeply involved in the student cinema scene. Somewhere between marking books and planning lessons, I feel like I've lost my connection to the community cinema world so I'm really looking forward to the conference to reignite my love for it all and meet and help all you lovely people.
