Private: ORIANA FRANCESCHI
Vote 100 Project Officer
One stand-out community cinema event for me was a Halloween screening of The Cabinet of Dr Caligari with live accompaniment at Glasgow’s Britannia Panopticon. Granted, it was near-freezing (I think they’ve since had their heating sorted) but we were all given blankets, hot water bottles and cups of tea, and it really was an impressively eerie surrounding to watch a horror classic in.
Oriana joined the Cinema for All team as Vote 100 Project Officer in June 2018. She has work in film programming and events planning roles for Glasgow Short Film Festival, Tyneside Cinema, Sheffield Doc/Fest and An Lanntair arts centre on the Isle of Lewis. Oriana has an MA in Film Journalism from the University of Glasgow and in 2014 was one of eight emerging writers selected for the Berlinale’s Talents programme.
