Jay was on the committee of Film Unit, the student cinema at the University of Sheffield (and the 2016 winner of Cinema For All’s Best Student Cinema award!). He was in charge of organising various special screenings and events that Film Unit was involved with. After completing a Master's degree he worked as a projectionist at the Showroom cinema before joining the Cinema For All team in October 2017.
