CONFERENCE ACCESSIBILITY
We want the Community Cinema Conference to be welcoming, inclusive and accessible for all our delegates. Here’s a summary of the accessibility of the venues, Showroom Cinema (where film screeningswill be):
- A sloped ramp leads to the main cinema entrance which is electronically assisted. Lift access is provided to cinema at the lower level.
- All 4 screens have level access.
- Accessibly toilet facilities are available near cinemas 1 and 2 (upper level), cinemas 3 and 4 (lower level) and also within the Café Bar.
- The Cinema can be accessed via an electronically assisted door at the Café Bar.
- Guide, Access and Hearing dogs are very welcome.
Workstation (the delegate area, panels and workshops, lunch, Film Society of the Year awards and after party is held):
- All sessions will be BSL interpreted.
- Online sessions will also be captioned.
- All speakers will be using a microphone.
- A large print version of our programme will be available during the event from the delegate desk.
- The Creative Lounge, where our training sessions take place, is currently undergoing renovations to improve the sound. We will keep delegates up to date as these renovations progress.
- The delegate area is a two-floor space. The upper level (where some catering and a cloak room will be located) is accessible via a lift. We will provide key fobs to allow delegates to access this lift, as it is behind a locked door.
