Olga tells the story of a 15-year-old Ukrainian gymnast, played by real life gymnast Anastasiia Budiashkina in a star making breakout performance, exiled in Switzerland. She is working to secure a place at the country’s National Sports Centre when the Euromaiden uprising of 2013 breaks out in her native country. Anxieties rise as her family gets involved, changing the course of her life forever.

Set in 2014 and released in 2021, Elie Grappe’s powerful debut feature explores being torn between a cause and your own ambitions, and the effects of socio-political upheaval can have on the individual.
