Community Cinema Info Day – Birmingham

Community Cinema Info Day Birmingham, Wednesday February 24th, 1:30pm at The Custard Factory.

Thinking of setting up a film society, pop up screening, or community cinema in your area? Already running one, but want to find out what support/ funding is available? Want to share ideas and experiences with similar groups?

Cinema for All is hosting a series of community cinema info days during the last week in February. The sessions will provide information, advice and encouragement to those already running community screenings, as well as those thinking about setting one up. Choose from joining us in either London, Luton, Birmingham or Hull.

The info days will be jam-packed with advice, support and invaluable tips to help you get started or develop what you’re already doing. We’ll also help you strengthen your links to each other, offer equipment advice and talk about funding opportunities.

Tea and coffee will be provided. Please let us know in advance of any access requirements.

PROGRAMME:

1:30 – 2:00pm – Tea and Coffee and registration.

2:00 – 3:00pm – Introduction to community cinema.

3:00 – 3:30pm – Case studies from Ian Francis (Flatpack/Flatpack Assemble) and regional support.

3:30 – 5:00pm – Immersive cinema and audience development workshop.

5:00pm – End.
